Gaming Site Spotlight
Casino On Net
www.casino-on-net.com
Already a legend in the online gaming industry, Casino On Net has everything a "nambler" should look for in an online gaming site.
First and foremost, the site has been blazing a respectable trail on the Internet for well over two years, a fact that is confirmed by its solid reputation and membership in the Interactive Gaming Council, the industry's only self-regulating body.
A gaming site should evoke a feeling of comfort in its visitors through superior efficiency, design, navigation, and speed. Casino On Net does this and does it well.
It should offer its player many options, such as fun play or real play, a single-player or multi-player option, and a free software download or a free CD-ROM. Again, Casino On Net has these bases covered (Casino On Net was the first site to offer the multi-player feature and they augment it with real-time chat capabilities). Finally, an online casino should offer excellent customer service and Casino On Net goes to unparalleled customer service measures, including 24-hour phone support and guaranteed e-mail response (not automated) within five minutes. And to top it all off, Casino On Net affords its players an excellent array of perks, most notably their "bonus points," which are awarded for playing and are converted to cash.
As for its casino games, Casino On Net features the full gamut, including slots (25¢ minimum and $3 maximum bet), video poker ($1 minimum and $5 maximum bet), blackjack ($1 minimum and $50 maximum bet), roulette ($1 minimum and $50 maximum bet), and baccarat ($1 minimum and $150 maximum bet).
Casino On Net is owned by Cassava Enterprises, LTD and is licensed in St. Johns, Antigua.
Cyber News
Bubba's in the Game
A notable trend in the online gaming industry continued last month with another sports celebrity's entry into the industry via a promotional agreement with an online gaming site. Earlier this year, it was former heavyweight champ Larry Holmes who launched betwiththechamp.com. This time, it's former NFL great and television and film celebrity Bubba Smith throwing his helmet into the ring.
The site, bubbacasino.com, is the product of an online gaming promotional agreement between World Gaming Services (a subsidiary of Starnet Communications) and Go Bet.
"Our Internet gaming agreement w ith Mr. Smith is a natural extension of his outstanding pedigree in sports and entertainment," said Bret Conkin, Starnet's vice-president of marketing. "We're very confident that bubbascasino.com will become one of the most exciting places to bet big on the net."
Bubba's Casino will offer more than 20 casino games, a sportsbook, and simulcast of horse and dog racing. The casino, however, will not accept wagers from within the United States and Canada.
Newsgroup Noise
"You are just as likely to hit a jackpot on a given spin if you hit nothing on the previous spin as you would be if you hit the same jackpot on the previous spin. In other words, recent past performance is not an indicator of future return."

What's Cool
You've Got Free E-mail÷
and it's Cool
Have you ever wanted to change ISP's but were concerned that your online pals would lose track of you if you switched e-mail addresses? Well, as you probably already know, a free e-mail account on the Web is easily attainable and solves this problem. An e-mail account with a site such as Hot Mail or Yahoo is yours for as long as you like, and it doesn't matter which ISP you use as long as you're on the 'Net. Now having your own address@yahoo.com is ok. But for gambling lovers, having your own free e-mail address @casino.com is very cool.
Knowing this, the folks at casino.com have offered a small piece of their great domain name to the world, in the form of free e-mail accounts. To get your account, simply go to www.casino.com and sign up. The whole process takes only a few minutes, but you'd better hurry up because it won't be long before all the hip casino addresses such as "thegambler@casino.com" and "ace@casino.com" are taken.
Sweeping the 'Net
Here's another site we stumbled upon that doesn't deal directly with casino gaming but should pique your interest just the same. The site covers the world of sweepstakes or, more specifically, how to increase your chances of winning them. It's the Winning Ways newsletter's site at www.onlinesweeps.com.
As sweepstakes lovers can attest, there are loads of great prizes such as vacations, cars, computers, and home entertainment systems given away each month by companies hoping to increase product awareness and to reward loyal customers. The Winning Ways newsletter is an online monthly newsletter that contains listings of all of the major mail-in sweepstakes, hints and tips, plus worksheets to help keep you organized while you're entering all these sweeps.
If you're a casual sweepstakes player or just looking to get in on the action, the free content available on the site will be more than enough to get you on the right track toward entering sweepstakes intelligently. If you're a sweeps die-hard, the reasonably priced ($20 annually) newsletter is well worth the investment. So check out the site÷you may already be a winner.
